What about the beer?
Colour is hazy yellow with a medium-sized white head. Aroma has tart
lemon, yeast and mild malts. Taste starts with biting tart lemon. Bitter
grapefruit with tart peel, funky yeast and some carbonation takes over.
Towards the end tartness softens to sour fruit with spicy and herbal
flavours. Aftertaste has sour lemon, tart citrus peel and herbal
dryness.
Absolutely great wheaty India Pale Ale. Orchestra of
peely citrus with spicy and yeasty rhythm. Fruits are the stars of the
show, but orange peel, coriander and lemongrass give a funky
edge to the brew. Keep on sailing the Sea of Excellence, Captain de Waal!
