What about the beer?

Colour is black with a small tan head. Aroma has roasted malts, spicy chocolate and sweet citrus fruits. Taste begins with roasted malty dark chocolate. Dark chocolate and roasted malts take over with hints of espresso. Towards the end spicy liquorice and bittersweet citrus get pleasantly through. Aftertaste has bitter citrus, dark chocolate and spicy sweet roasted malts.

Incredibly rich Imperial Porter. Rye malts seem to add spice, sweetness and thickness to the brew. Probably American hops give strong citrus and liquorice to the mix. The result is rich and complex parade of flavours. Damn fine stuff. Thanks go to the brewers of the Naked Island in Norway and their colleagues in Athens, Georgia.

What about the beer?

Colour is clear golden orange with a bubbly medium-sized white head. Aroma has rich mango, pineapple and citrus. Taste begins with rough piny and  fruity bitterness. Piny bitter grapefruit juice takes over with some sweet citrus on the background. Orange and alcohol flavours join the taste near the finish. Aftertaste has piny dryness and grapefruit bitterness.

Rough pine in the start makes the entry of incoming fruits easy. Strong citrus and pine powered Double or Imperial IPA. Very savoury and rich. No disappointments from the favourite brewery.

Colour is black with a small beige head. Aroma has roasted to charred malts, dark chocolate and black coffee. Taste starts with roasted chocolate malts and a gentle hoppy bite. Strong flavour of charred salty and malty coffee takes over with a note of cocoa. Near the finish hoppy bitterness comes along. Aftertaste has roasty bitterness and a twist of alcohol.

Dark and massive delicious substance. Roasted even charred malts dominate but the taste is perfected with black coffee, cocoa and late bitter hops. Superb and strong Imperial Stout.

Monstrous black brew calls for a - surprise, surprise - heavy metal track. Despite being recorded in the 2010's the song is on its way to becoming a classic. The lyrical theme - a tale of a tyrant who destroys his objectors - kinda fits the mood of  the beer. Would you dare to fight against Yeti?
