What about the beer?

Colour is hazy brown with a two-finger thick tan head. Aroma has sweet caramel malts, dark fruits and raisins. Taste begins with sweet caramel malts. Caramel malts take over with thin roast and gentle fruity bitterness. Towards the end fruity sour bitterness steps beside the sweet malts. Aftertaste has slightly dry malts and bitter fruits.

Very good malty Amber Ale. Some fruit and roast present to support tasty caramel malts. Easily drinkable, too. Nice stuff for the first commercial brew - even though it was brewed at a friend brewery (Paloaseman Panimo). Well done, Loose Moose.

What about the beer?
Colour is thick brown with a large tan head. Aroma has caramel malts, sweet berries and spicy citrus. Taste starts with dry bready malts. Bready malts take over with vanishing fruity bitter flavour. Towards the end the bread gets sweet. Aftertaste has dry malts and bitter fruity pine.

Well, wasn't that monotonous. Dry malts and some malty dryness after that. If this brew really was made after the winner recipe of a home brewing competition, either the scaling went wrong or the judges were stoned. Let's say I've had only a few worse non-alcoholic "house brews" than this.

This beer was part of Alko's Finnish microbrewery craftbeer selection in spring 2017.

Skitbit

Probably this brew was actually top of the art, and I'm too uncivilized to show appreciation. The same goes with me and avant garde style music. Some other people take it as musical geniousness, I consider it crap. Copper mallet is a kind of a hammer, and the band, "The Hammers of the Underworld", fits the theme perfectly. Anyway, here goes - neither the brew nor the band will be missed from my behalf.

What about the beer?

Colour is fuzzy orange with a large white head. Aroma has grapefruit, bitter malts and hay. Taste starts with sharp malty and dry bitter. Unroughly bitter grapefruit, rye-bready malts and gently dry pine fill the mouth. Towards the end piny dry bitterness gets on top. Aftertaste has gently piny dryness and grapefruit bitterness.

Nice and easy-drinking Amber Ale. For a low abv beer surprisingly solid malty base is combined with grapefruit and pine. Simple and tasty, no tricks, just good taste.

Despite the name this brew rocks. Originally from the 1950's this often covered hit of the 1960's has the rock'n'roll of the brew.

What about the beer?

Colour is amber brown with an overwhelming bubbly creamy white head. Aroma has hay, malts and sweet fruits resembling pear and grapes. Taste begins with slightly biting bitter and malty flavours. Combination of light citrus bitterness and bready malts leads the way. Near the finish we get a tight lemon and pine punch. Aftertaste has strong bitter grapefruit and malty dryness.

Tasty and refreshing brew from this Pori-based brewery: no need to travel for a good bottle of amber ale. Simple and easily drinkable combination of malty, bitter and citrus flavours does the trick for me - special effects aren't usually necessary.

The Finnish word 'pikkupomo' usually means a person, who acts like a little boss at work without the status of a superior. What comes to the song choice I just couldn't pass the boss ('pomo') part in the name, so I chose a balanced and calm track from the Boss:
